Founder Profile
Timothy P. Moneypenny
In 1985, Timothy P. Moneypenny began his security industry career in Washington DC as an apprentice electrician installing security systems for Federal Government agencies, that required top-level security clearances. These agencies include; FBI, ATF, USDOJ, Foreign Science Technology Center (FSTC) and the CIA. After 18 months as an apprentice, Mr. Moneypenny became a lead technician managing and implementing integrated large security projects that protected some of the nation’s most Top-Secret missions. He was soon promoted to Project Manager and in 1992 became an Account Manager for a dynamic security integrator located in Rockville, MD. After being in the industry for five years, Mr. Moneypenny was promoted to National Account Executive where he handled multiple Fortune 500 accounts such as Booz Allen & Hamilton, FreddieMac, FannieMae, AARP and The World Bank.
In 2008, Mr. Moneypenny was selected by The USDOJ to be a Security Consultant for the design of the Perimeter Electronic Security for President Obama’s first inaugural in Washington DC. Later, Mr. Moneypenny held a Director of Business Development role focused on searching out strategic marketing partnerships and customer relationships at a privately held, local company.
Mr. Moneypenny then decided to utilize his vast and diverse experience in the security industry to launch Diligent Electronic Security Systems, LLC.
